I've been teaching a group of kids in grades 2-5 art each week. We usually do a lesson coupled with some art history based on a specific artist. Last night I told the kids about pop art and showed them some of Andy Warhol’s work and had them color their own soup cans. I tried to explain Andy Warhol’s way of mass-producing things and how he used color kind of like a stamp rather than with detail. I demonstrated with my own picture.
