I haven't written in a while here. Frankly I haven't had much time to collect my thoughts lately. I keep a notebook with me at all times and it is often littered with ideas, thoughts, quotes I've found and to-do lists. Each day holds a new list -- or a continuation of the list from the day before. Little things like this give my life some sense of order (although it's still a messy ever changing life I live) and keep me somewhat focussed.
I found this video today and it made me feel inspired. I think Joie Lee is fabulous. One of her brothers is the filmmaker Spike Lee. There is so much that I love about this short video but I found her remark about wanting to live authentically resonated with me most. Plus -her remarks about how life slows down when she leaves Brooklyn made me excited about boarding that Amtrak (which I'll do in September) and heading to New Orleans as life slows down and I spend two days looking out the window as I pass thought the states along the way.
Anyway --- Here's a video for you to enjoy...
